ONDO connects stories with architecture to create themed entertainment environments. As the creative architecture department of SARAAJ, we explore how a narrative can guide the character of a place, the sequence of a visit and the experiences people share within it. The studio is led by founder Mohsen Saraji.
From story world to spatial experience
A theme becomes meaningful when it shapes more than the appearance of a space. Characters, settings and dramatic events can inform arrival, circulation, atmosphere and moments of discovery. Our approach brings these decisions together so that the visitor journey and the architectural concept support the same story.
The work can draw on cultural narratives, mythology or an imagined world. Light, material, scale, sound and interaction give that world a spatial language, while different areas contribute distinct chapters to the overall experience.
Areas of design focus
- Story concepts and the identity of a themed destination.
- Themed architectural concepts and immersive interior environments.
- Visitor journeys, spatial sequences and narrative touchpoints.
- Integration of dining, play, cultural content and shared spaces.
Selected themed entertainment projects
Zahak Horror Palace translates a Persian legend into a theatrical attraction journey. City Star Themed Food Court connects dining with an interstellar story and contemporary art references. Farabazi Indoor Theme Park explores parallel worlds through light, color and immersive play.
Developing a design brief
We welcome project enquiries from clients in Iran and internationally. A useful starting point is the proposed location, intended audience, approximate area and the experience you want people to remember. Existing drawings, a story idea or a reference project can help define the scope. We use the brief to discuss which narrative and architectural questions should be developed together.
How does themed entertainment relate to theme park design?
Themed entertainment can be a single attraction, an interior, a dining environment or a larger destination. Theme park design brings multiple environments and experiences into one coordinated place.
